Delivery and Distribution
How will AstroVision images get to our customers?
When an event occurs on or near the surface of the Earth, the event data arrives at the speed of light at the suite of AstroVision sensors on our satellite.
It is then retransmitted from the satellite and arrives at an Earth station, either one owned and operated by AstroVision or one owned and operated by a customer licensed to receive the encrypted AstroVision data stream.
Following arrival at the Earth station, processing of the data occurs, and data is simultaneously passed to our storage network and downstream toward our customer.
For distribution to our fixed and mobile subscribers, or direct to a remote client location, the Internet is the next step in the chain.
The end-users of our information will be both mobile and stationary, and will receive their data via their device of choice (radio, cell phone, PDA, pager, computer, TV).
 | Playing With Fire
Fires are ravaging the California forests, and emergency management teams are barely keeping things under control. Thick smoke is seeping into the city streets, and the wind patterns are constantly changing. Officials are having a difficult time pinpointing trouble spots to ensure citizens keep out of harm’s way.
How will they identify a safe evacuation route? |
